“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9) Patience and persistence yield blessings. Believers in Christ must embrace the virtue of persistence. Persistence is the act of continuing firmly (without giving up) in a cause of action despite difficulty or opposition.
It takes persistence to follow Christ, especially in an ungodly environment or society. It takes persistence to pray and pray until your answer comes. Christ persisted in purchasing our eternal redemption of the Calvary Tree. The widow in Luke 18:1-8 persisted until she received justice. God promises His blessings if you will persist (I Thessalonians 5:24). Only persistent Christians will make Heaven. I encourage you today, to pursue God with persistence. Be persistent in your daily Bible reading, in prayer, in fellowship, in service, in career, and in family development. You will be a winner in Jesus’ name.
